The Glass Beneath Your Feet
Marbles have been collected, traded, and studied for well over a century, yet the depth of the hobby continues to surprise even experienced collectors. From the hand-gathered German canes of the nineteenth century to the golden era of American machine production, each marble carries a small piece of manufacturing and social history. The glass tells a story: who made it, how it was made, and sometimes where it has been. That history is worth preserving, and it is worth presenting honestly.
Who We Are
Marble Finds is run by Rob and Sharon Harrison, a husband-and-wife team based in Northern Arizona. It is a small operation by intention. Rob has personally collected vintage and collectible marbles for over 40 years, and between us, we have decades of hands-on experience collecting, studying, and handling glass across nearly every category the hobby offers. We are based in the high desert of Northern Arizona, with marble connections reaching across the United States.
Our background goes beyond collecting. We have both spent considerable time as working artists, including furnace work and glassblowing, as well as flameworking, making marbles by hand at the torch. When you have actually made glass, you develop a different eye for it. You understand how color moves in a gather, why certain surface characteristics happen, and what separates a production flaw from damage.
That background shapes how we work. Every marble is examined under proper light and magnification before it is listed. We grade conservatively, we describe as-made characteristics and actual damage separately and plainly, and we photograph each piece with no editing or color adjustment so the marble you receive is the marble you saw. Collectors deserve accurate information, not optimistic descriptions written around a flattering photograph.
If a piece is not right, our return policy gives you a 7-day inspection period to examine it in hand. We would rather have a confident collector than a completed sale.

What We Do
Every marble we offer is selected individually, inspected under magnification, graded using a consistent and conservative standard, and photographed to show its actual surface and color. Our inventory spans classic American machine-made marbles, antique German handmades, and contemporary studio glass. If a marble has wear, it will be noted. If it is something special, we will tell you why. We do not pad descriptions and we do not inflate grades. Good glass does not need hype – it needs honest presentation and a fair price.
Where We Are Headed
Marble Finds exists to make quality glass accessible to collectors at every level – whether you are filling gaps in a focused collection or picking up your first serious piece. The hobby is growing, and a new generation of collectors is discovering what those of us who have been at it for years already know: these are objects worth caring about. We intend to keep sourcing carefully, grading honestly, packing securely, and keeping costs reasonable for as long as there is good glass to be found.
