A rare Peltier Glass Company four-color, six-ribbon National Line Rainbo known to collectors as the “Superman.” Produced in Ottawa, Illinois, circa 1925–1935, this exceptional example displays the classic Superman palette of vivid red and yellow ribbons over a beautiful opaque sky-blue base.
What distinguishes this marble is its unusual six-ribbon construction and the light black aventurine layered over both yellow ribbons. Fine metallic particles sparkle within the darker glass as the marble turns under direct light, giving the ribbons added depth and visual interest.
At 5/8 inch, this is a desirable standard-size example preserved in outstanding condition. It was graded Mint, 9.7, by Block’s Marble Auctions.
Please examine all photographs, which show the marble’s complete surface, ribbon structure and aventurine from multiple angles.
